With all the JUNK that is going on in this world, I've been biting my tongue for a long time (believe me, that's hard to do), and slowly but surely there came a time when I just got fed up and decided to say something. 

My Opinion doesn't mean it's the only opinion out there, it's just MINE.  I'm not going to trash others on the internet, start a protest or block the street, bash out windows or shoot someone because I don't agree with their ideas.  It's just an 'Opinion' and this one just happens to be mine.  

I've lived long enough to realize that negative posts and protests aren't going to change a thing and I wouldn't dream of doing some of the ignorant things that others have done just because someone doesn't agree with my opinion.  Now THAT is just STUPID!

If you're offended, by all means, just stop reading.  I won't mind at all!  I hope you are starting to realize I'm actually smiling while writing this!  (with a tweaked grin on my face)  That's one thing about the written WORD.  You can't always tell if someone MEANS what they're saying, or if they're GRINNING or SMILING when they're writing it.   

I guess you'll have to just think about it for a minute and know that at some point during these written words, I've got a grin on my face, or even perhaps have had a few chuckles while I'm typing.  We call it HUMOR!  

Life is just too short to be a grump for long, so I'll say what I need to spit out at the time, chuckle a bit, grin a bit and move on.  ;-)  Maybe some of what I've posted will get a chuckle out of you too!

Recently I was reading through my fb page and I read a post from a friend that hit home.  It was the spoken word that I thought was PERFECT!  I copied and pasted it to a word doc, added a couple things, then decided to add it to our monthly truck club newsletter.  Here's a link to the post and changes I added before I printed out the newsletter.

Tolerance vs. Comply

Another thing that just drives me nuts....Ok, so I know we were supposed to be "Tolerant" to others, and Yes, I understand this! In a perfect world that would probably be enough.  However, things have changed once again in our society, and now we don't have to just be "Tolerant" we must "COMPLY!"  Wait a minute!  Where is the "Tolerance" from the other side for US?

With that being said, here's another thing to add to the list.

What does "Illegal" Really Mean?

Since when does ILLEGAL change it's definition once they cross the border?  I thought Illegal meant the same thing no matter what side of the border you were on!(Remember, I'm talking about "Illegal" NOT Legal)

Here is the definition:

Illegal, or unlawful, typically describes something that is explicitly prohibited by law, or is otherwise forbidden by a state or other governing body.

So when does the word "Illegal" turn into "Protected" in any dictionary?  It doesn't!  There is no room for a Double Standard with this issue.  It's a LAW and that law needs to be upheld!

If you go to another country and pull the junk that illegals are pulling here....if you don't get shot first, you'll probably spend the rest of your life in prison, and believe me, their prisons are not as nice as ours! 

If you want to come to our country and be a law abiding citizen and work and raise your children, and not just grab what 'freebies' you can get, then I have no problem .....then do it LEGALLY.  But if you just want a free ride....heh baby, "Nobody Rides for FREE!"

I'm an American, and I'm PROUD to be an American.  Nothing was given to me for FREE!  I worked for a pay check like most Americans, and those who want to just live off of MY paycheck better think twice 'cuz I'm not sharing it  with someone who wants to be a bum!    

I say send them Back Home!  If they keep crossing our borders, maybe it's time to send them to Gitmo while they wait for their court date since most of them get lost in our country and are never seen again!?  Works for ME!  Update: That's exactly what they're doing as of 2025 when Donald Trump became President again!  YIPPEEE!  Now, take all the Welfare, Food Stamps and a Free place to live away too and I'll be happy!  Crossing that border doesn't give you rights as if you're an American Citizen!

Police Abuse

Do you want to talk about Police Abuse?  I have to agree there are too many abusive cops (or aggressive cops) out there, but I believe that can be changed with more education and a few new rules/laws!

Keep in mind that police now days aren't fighting the same mentality  that they did years ago when I was growing up. 

The Police had more respect and we knew that if we didn't respect them our parents would paddle our butts!  (something that maybe ought to happen more perhaps)? 

There is more violence and more weapons out there so I think they're on edge.  Some areas where the violence is so bad they have to walk on egg-shells before they even get out of their car.  

It's not just the cops, it's society too, so don't just blame the bad cops.  Let's get rid of the bad cops and work on both sides...the cops and the people they are here to serve.   

Do I believe someone should be treated aggressively if they're not being overly aggressive back?  No!

Nobody should be shot in the back for running away.  Nobody should die because they had a knee in their neck cutting off their oxygen supply while they're hands are cuffed and they're pinned to the ground.  There are other ways to handle situations like that, and what happened in these situations was NOT the way to handle it. 

It's also not just about blacks because I've seen too many whites abused too, so don't blame it on the color of your skin. 

That's not true.  I was threatened years ago from a Nixa cop and all I did was ask a question (there's another story behind that comment), trust me.

Lets give our cops better training and help them, help us!  After all, they're the ones that we will call when we need help in an emergency! 

Do you want to live in a world with no cops?  I don't think so!

Black Lives Matter?

I've always thought it should be HUMAN Lives Matter! 

So are you tired of all the Black Lives Matter talk?  Amazing where it came from, how fast it came out of the closet, etc.  You need to read this AWESOME article! 

Just to let you know...I agree 125%!  I wished I could have said it as gracefully as this man did!  I've felt all the things he's said.  See if you don't agree too!

Will Destroying History Get Rid of It?

Will destroying statues, pictures and bits of history remove it as if it never existed? 

Absolutely NOT!  How IGNORANT to even think that it would! 

Why are we still paying for things that our ancestors did?  Why is it suddenly a problem, and why are you taking it so personally when you weren't even around when it all happened? 

History can't be erased by removing it from your sight!  Learning about the past can help new generations move forward,  building a better society for everyone.   

Were there mistakes made?  Oh, I KNOW there were, but we've moved forward since then.....why can't YOU?!  

Do I hate the white man because none of the treaties they made with my Indian ancestors were never kept?  No, of course not!  That would be ignorant and racist! 

That was hundreds of years ago and since I wasn't there, I didn't have any say about it.  

So LEARN from the trials of your ancestors, and move FORWARD!  PEACEFULLY!  Quit crying about stuff that you can't change or had no control over!  You can't undo the past, that's why it's still in the past.  Leave it there!

If you want to protest, then stand on the sidewalk with your signs if you must, but as soon as you start blocking streets and destroying property, burning cars and buildings, that's when it's time for you to go to JAIL! 

If you want your own opinion to be heard then shut up long enough to find out where you need to go to "Effectively" let others hear you!  I can guarantee I won't listen to you (nor will anyone else) if you're destroying property while shouting about Black Lives Matter.  So if you want to be heard, then be civilized about it!

You don't see me protesting and destroying things 'cuz my ancestors may have had a slave (in fact, many of my ancestors WERE slaves), or worked for someone who had or sold slaves.  That's how things were back then.  But that's in the PAST...it's time to quit being a VICTIM and move FORWARD! 

Quit living in the PAST, and don't try to cover it up 'cuz "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" doesn't work...at least for very long! 

That history (including YOURS), will always be there whether you see it, like it, or not!   

Just Telling It Like It Is!

If you've spent any time at all on Facebook you've probably seen Chad Prather!  He tells it like it IS and I love him for it!

If you're tired of all the complainers, you really need to listen to this short video!  He's SO right ON with this, and I hope some of the new generation trip over it and listen too!

So many stay off of Facebook because of the nasty remarks that people just can't seem to leave the page without making, and this is another reason I try not to spend any more time on FB than I have to. 

Growing up, we got ticked off and moved ON!  Now if it was something that needed to be dealt with (swapped out or whatever), we kindly dealt with it without bashing the company, person or who ever. 

It's a Principle thing!  If you need to take care of a situation, for Heaven's sake, take care of it with a little bit of GRACE!

And lastly...at least for now, a little lesson on being "Southern".  I was raised a while in the south, my language at 4 1/2 was a lot of Ya'll, Ya Hear, and a few others I can't spell.

I've never called someone stupid or ignorant because they have that southern accent....I may "tease" my family because of their Texas, North Carolina and Louisiana  accents, but only in fun!  In fact, it brings back a lot of fond  memories for me, and it makes me SMILE!
